Is there a need for additional training?

Yes, there is. In an evermore demanding and continuously changing environment, life long learning is vital for the health care professional. Although the scientists employed in the health care sector are highly qualified, a real need for continued learning exists because of 3 main reasons:

1. there is a gap between the graduate output of universities and the sector’s requirements.
2. a lot of scientists active in the pharmaceutical industry (medical doctors, chemists, engineers, etc.) have no pharmaceutical background, lacking the necessary expertise/education in typically pharmaceutical issues.
3. the world of health care sciences is a rapidly evolving environment that is continuously exploring new domains, targets and applications and therefore demands constant ‘brain updates’.

The knowledge gaps in different medical and pharmaceutical areas need to be filled. PharmaXL wants to help fill out these gaps by providing trainings and seminars in the broad field of health care sciences.
